On Thursday, Nov. 21, search warrants were executed at three residences across St. Mary’s County as part of an investigation led by the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division.

During the operation, deputies recovered seven firearms and ammunition, according to authorities.

Arrested without incident were Bruce Bernard Franks, 32, of Dameron; Keith O’Bryan Holland, 20, of Park Hall; and a juvenile whose identity is legally protected despite being charged as an adult.

Franks faces charges including possession of a short-barreled rifle, possession of firearms and ammunition despite disqualifying convictions, and multiple offenses related to firearms regulations.

Holland was charged with possessing a regulated firearm while under the age of 21, knowingly possessing a firearm after being adjudicated delinquent for a disqualifying crime, and possession of prohibited ammunition.

The juvenile was charged as an adult with possession of a firearm while under 21 and possession of ammunition designed for regulated firearms.

Following the arrests, Sheriff Steve Hall praised the collaboration between local and federal agencies. “The professionalism and dedication of our deputies, working seamlessly with federal partners, reflect our unwavering commitment to protecting the citizens of St. Mary’s County,” Hall said.

ATF Baltimore Special Agent in Charge Toni Crosby added, “The arrests made today highlight ATF’s dedication to bring those who illegally possess firearms to justice.”

All three suspects were transported to the Detention and Rehabilitation Center and are awaiting bond hearings.

This is a developing story.
